Product Description
The ultimate outdoorsman jig bundle. Tormek, quality you can count on. This bundle includes the SVA-170 axe jig, SVM-45 knife sharpening jig, SVM-14 long knife jig and SVM-00 small knife jig. The SVA-170 axe jig is used for carving and carpenter's axes. The head of the axe supports freely on the rubber lined stop so you can follow the shape of an individual edge, straight or curved. The jig comprises of a clamp with a rubber lined, wedge shaped stop, which holds the axe in the fixed position towards the grindstone. The SVM-45 knife sharpening jig works for most knives with a minimum blade width of 1-3/4" (45mm), and minimum blade length of 2-3/8" (60mm). Use it also to sharpen a carver's drawknife. The jig consists of an adjustable clamp for holding knives of any thickness and an adjustable stop. Tormek's SVM-140 long knife jig is developed especially for long, thin and flexible knives, such as filleting knives. Its larger width, 5-1/2 inches, stabilizes a long and thin blade and can cope with blades longer than 6-1/4 inches. It works in the same way as the SVM-45 jig but it is wider and therefore gives more support to long and thin blades. The jig is comprised of an adjustable clamp for holding knives up to 3/16" (5mm) thickness and an adjustable stop. The small knife holder SVM-00 from Tormek can handle those really small knife blades which up until now have been difficult to sharpen. In the past they have been sharpened free-hand but every time it was a challenge to get a consistent shape and almost impossible to control the edge angle. You can now sharpen knives of different shapes for whittling, chip carving and detail work. Even folding pocket knives can be sharpened with perfect control. Since it is the handle of the knife that is mounted in the SVM-00 holder, there is really no limit to how small a blade you can sharpen. It works in conjunction with the Knife Jig SVM-45.
